About PSSAP: The American Pediatric Surgical Association is proud to present the Pediatric Surgery Self Assessment Program (PSSAP). The goal of PSSAP is to provide pediatric surgeons with a broad-based educational experience using current evidence-based literature and practical experience. PSSAP addresses the core competencies of medical knowledge and patient care of pediatric surgery as defined by the American Board of Surgery – "Pediatric Surgery: Content Outline for the In-Training, Qualifying and Recertification Examinations." PSSAP is intended to fulfill Part 2 – Lifelong learning and self-assessment of the Maintenance of Certification (MOC) requirement, and to meet the educational needs (knowledge, competence, or performance) that underlie the professional practice gaps of pediatric surgery. There are four parts of this program. Each part may be used to obtain 10 hours of CME credit. ACCREDITATION INFORMATION FOR THE PSSAP PROGRAM |
